What is the difference between an Electric Circuit charging station and an affiliated charging station?

The affiliated charging station is considered part of the Electric Circuit network. However, there are two differences:

• The way to start charging: Affiliated Level 2 charging stations must be activated in the Electric Circuit app or a compatible mobile app because they don’t have an Electric Circuit card reader.

• The charging stations’ appearance: although Hydro-Québec doesn’t own the charging stations and they look different, the service quality is the same as the Level 2 charging stations you’re used to.
