Rates according to type of charging station
Standard charging stations (Level 2)
Rates at standard or Level 2 charging stations are set by their owners, based on a Circuit électrique pricing grid. The rates are displayed on the station screen and in the station details on the app.
Rates can be set in one of the following ways:
A flat rate
A fixed hourly rate
An hourly fee per time slots
Fast-charge stations
Fast-charge rates are calculated in a dynamic manner according to the power supplied by the station and the vehicle’s battery charge level. The charging cost can include a kilowatthour (kWh) rate and an hourly rate, which is applied when the charging speed slows.
Annual indexation
In accordance with Québec regulations, fast-charge rates are indexed at the start of every year.

Level 2 charging station
Estimated charging time:
2 to 3 hours
Flat Rate
Between $0 and $20 per charging session (without inactivity fees)
Hourly Rate
Fixed: between $0.25 and $3 per hour of charging, billed by the second. *
By time slots: between $0.25 and $3 per hour of charging, according to established periods.*
*Note: In these two cases, an inactivity fee (between $0 and $3 per hour) can be set, when the charge is complete, but the vehicle is still connected to the charging station.

additional fees
Parking
For access to a charging station in a paid parking facility, you must pay the usual parking fees as they are not included in the charging cost.
Assisted activation
A $5 fee (taxes included) will be charged to your Circuit électrique account for all requests to activate a charging station through our phone support service. This fee will be in addition to the cost of your charging session. To avoid paying activation fees, use the mobile app or your Circuit électrique card to start charging.
Partner networks
If you use a Circuit électrique charging station from an account with a partner network, roaming fees will be added to the cost of the charging session. The fees are $0.75 for a standard charge and $1.25 for a fast charge, taxes included. Roaming fees also apply when you start a charge on a partner network using the Circuit électrique app.
Which station should I choose?
All models of all-electric vehicles are compatible with our charging stations.
A charging station’s power indicates its maximum capacity, but the charging speed also depends on what your vehicle can handle!
Plugging your vehicle into a station that supplies more power than you need doesn’t always speed up the charging process. You could end up paying more for the same amount of charging time.
Choose a station adapted to your charging needs and the time at your disposal, to get the most advatageous rate and optimized charging.
